Please deactivate the onboard sound first, preferably directly via the BIOS.
Uninstall any existing ASIO sound card drivers and only use the Windows DirectSound driver.
Call up the device manager (via Control Panel / System), select the audio controller and right-click Properties. There you can install or uninstall drivers.
If you experience crackling or dropouts, please try higher latencies (adjustable in the BPM Studio options under Audio I / O). E.g. Set latency with ASIO higher to approx. 20 ms or less, preload to 1 sec.
For multi-channel sound cards:
It is necessary that you make the correct settings via the Windows Vista / 7/8/10 control panel and switch your sound card to multi-channel mode, only then will the channels be properly separated. That means in the control panel under audio configure the Maya as Quadrophonie, 5.1 or 7.1 sound card. Then all channels should be available.
You can find the settings path under:
Control Panel \ Hardware and Sound \ Sound \ Manage Audio Devices \ Playback
Or click directly on the loudspeaker symbol with the right mouse button in the lower right corner of the system tray and select Open playback devices.
Select the device or the sound card, define the sound card as the standard device and go to Configure.
For Windows XP and older Windows versions you can also try the trick with the changed command line parameters.
After installing BPM Studio you will find a shortcut to BPM Studio on your desktop.
Right-click on this shortcut and select "Properties" in the menu that follows.
Please go to the register "Link" with the point "Target", there you will see the following path C: \ Programs \ Alcatech \ BPM-Studio Profi / BPM.exe
Change this path as follows:
C: \ Programs \ Alcatech \ BPM-Studio Profi \ BPM.exe / ch: 8
C: \ Program Files \ Alcatech \ BPM-Studio Profi \ BPM.exe / ch: 4
for the Maya44 USB.
(the 8 stands for the number of mono channels, 8 times mono = 4 times stereo).
Then click on "Ok" and restart your BPM Studio with this link, you should now be able to assign the individual channels.
Furthermore, please go to your BPM Studio Options (right mouse button in BPM Studio), select the menu Audio I / O or Audio Channels and set the corresponding channels for player A / B and the monitor. Make sure to activate the check box for Multichannel Card.
Now you can listen to the lists through the headphones. The headphones are connected to an additional socket on the PC. Often the Mic or Line input takes over this function. You just have to try it out.
